Hi all
After some advice please.
I have just purchased a Laptop from PC world who advertised the laptop as having an ATI express 200 graphics Model No MV45-008. (Packard Bell)
When in fact they gave me a MV46-008 which has a 128M Intel 945GM shared Graphics.
Is there going to be much difference????
Is it worth taking it back?
I think most people would not notice as this is the same machine BUT different graphics therefore I assume cheaper.
Also interestingly on there web site you cannot get a MV45-008 only a MV45-005.

The ATI X200 is slightly better than the GMA950 which you have on your 945GM chipset, but only slightly.
Both cards would perform poorly on newer games. I think you would have to consider the other specifications (if they are different, which they probably are as the ATI X200 is only available on AMD chipsets, not Intel ones) in order to decide whether to return it or not. -

I would say the X200 is a fair amount more powerful than the 945GM, I would contact them.

Sorry, i have seen both cards in action and ATI will destroy the intel, but neither of them will do well at modern games.

thanks for the comments up to now I think I will go back and point out there error.
Interestingly I also know a few others who have purchased this model so will see if they also have been sold the wrong item. They are also giving a free bag and vista upgrade away now. -
yah like mentioned above X200 is an AMD chipset but if that is whay they told you try and get some money back or like you mentioned a free vista coupon and/or bag.
have a great day!
