    HL2 Problems with vista

    Hello,
    Lately I have been having problems with HL2 and zombie panic (random crashes saying hl2.exe is not responding) and hl2 crashing when i go to exit it or a mod. Could this be driver related or is this somethign to do with how vista and steam games interact?

    Core 2 Duo T7100
    8700M GT 512mb
    2GB Ram

    I had a problem with HL2 and Steam in Vista as well. Except it was crashing at the initial loading screen.

    Try this in Steam. File>Setting>In-Game and uncheck the Enable Steam Steam community ingame.

    That happens to me as well when I quit out. Vista thinks the game is crashing when really it is exiting normally.

    Otherwise I don't usually have random crashes. I am using the 169.09 driver from laptopvideo2go.com

    Thanks only, that helped out with the ingame crashes but im still perplexed about the ending crashes :p

    Update: Now hl2 is crashing inbetween lvl loads (random some times but it can happen every load) Im not sure what to do :S it only happens when i play a game/mod that requires hl2.exe (tf2 works fine most of the time)
