Getting great framerates but every time a new sound is played (water splash, explosion, etc.) the whole game seems to stutter for about half a second. Once these sounds are loaded into memory they don't stutter anymore, but it's annoying because whenever i enter a new area I have to deal with this skipping problem. Just wondering how others are experiencing this with their notebooks.

    I have a v4000t x700 1gigddr Pentium m 750 integrated soundmax audio.

Anyone else having better luck with different system specs?

everything runs fine here. I would look on the support forums on www.steampowered.com because it sounds like a game problem. Your machine should be running any steam product easily.

It seems as if the computer is caching the sounds during gameplay. You could probably help that (if not fix it) by defragmenting the hard drive. Also, make sure that you don't have anything running in the background that is going to access the hard drive.
