Good day everyone, I installed HL2 episod one on my Acer 5670, and it is not able to run. What happen is when I select New Game, the loading screen appear and half way true it crashes. All my drivers are updated, but before I start the game it prompt me to update my video card, which I have done. I contact Acer and send email to Steam, but no solution yet, does anyone have any solution.

    Cheers

What video card are you using? What are the rest of your specs?

Its unlikely your card is old enough to not support HL2 but its possible....are you sure your graphics drivers are up to date?

Hi Havok, my drivers are up to date. I call acer and we verify them. The specs of the 5670 are : intel duo 1.66, video card ATI X1400, 100 g HD, 1 GB ram, etcc. I used HL2 and I have no problem to run it, but episod one doesn't work.

    Cheers

Interesting. Your notebook meets the requirements of the game. Try changing the sound options, sometimes certain settings can cause issues.

As a last resort, reinstalling the game is an option.
