I seem to be unable to install the patches for Heroes of Might and Magic 5 in Vista... can't find an email addres to contact Ubisoft.

It says that HOMM isn't installed.

    Any help?

Id suggest trying the HoMM5 forums (google it), you'll probably get more help.

I haven't played the game since XP so I can't help.

Strange, but some people can play Homm5 on Vista without any issues, and some can't even get it running. If the game plays well without the patches hold on until better support is developed for the game in Vista. If not by Ubisoft, I'm pretty sure the community will come up with a patch/mod to solve certain issues. Did you try it in XP compatibility mode? Also checkout the official formus as link1313 suggested.

Also, Heroes 5 is a Direct X9 game, and even though Direct X10 is supposed to be backward compatible it does miss a dll or two, so when installing a game like that, it's good to run the DX setup included on the disk.
