    GFX: 9600M GT DDR2

What is the max resolution that my laptop can output to an external LCD? Will it be able to run Full HD on this monitor? Would there be any problems with this setup?

    THanks

VGA, DVI, and HDMI can all output full HD. If you have a computer with them, it can do it. Hell you'll be able to technically do an extended desktop with 1920 x 1080 + your laptop screen if you want. It's not difficult for GPUs these days. Question is, does this have anything to do with gaming? If yes, then don't expect the 9600GT, especially with DDR2 to do anything spectacular, aim for 720p-ish level resolutions with medium details in most newer games.

yup, can get to 1920x1080 with my DV5t. Can play some games at that res, but poses a problem with EvE and micro sized text.

My mate does the spit screen thing with a 8400m GS and 1920x1080 monitor no probs. One thing you may find handy is a program called UltraMon, lets you see the taskbar on both monitors if u stretch your desktop over both.
