It maybe an old news but i thought to share with you guys that HP dragon (HDX Series) has been upgraded to more powerful processor, better resolution of screen and most important thing Geforce 8800M graphics card. That was the machine i was waiting for from ages since i didnt like the idea of ATI radeon 2600 in such a beast. Nuthin against ATI but i have always prefered Geforce myself.

Every brand is getting out a laptop 8800m card - except for Dell.

For sure, Dell is going to make the M1730 configurable with the 8800M GTX.

Only info I've seen is they are reworking their current models such as the c90p will support a 8700m gt card and its a 15.4 laptop. The other model seems to be a upgrade to the G2 series and will support sli 8700m gt's, but no mention so far of a 8800m card.

Dell probably isn't going to release it [yet] because they want Alienware to do so first.

the US site is still only listing the ATI2600, though.

I actually sent an email to HP last night about this and was told that they're not announcing the official release date yet... but the company I work for does business with HP worth several hundred thousand dollars a year. when I get back to work on Monday, I might ask the head of our inventory department if he has any contacts over there that might be able to help me out :p
