    Just curious if any one has cracked open there hp dv6500 to see if it has a mxm 2 module, also how do you get rid of hp stock nvidia drivers?

    To uninstall driver (assuming you are running Vista): right-click My Computer> Properties> Device Manager> go to Display Drivers> right-click desired device> uninstall.

    I would highly recommend downloading your driver from www.laptopvideo2go.com (169.04 is good); I am running it myself with a huge difference in gaming performance. The stock HP drivers are worthless.

    ThanK you. Have you ever looked at the schematic for your notebook; It looks interesting mxm wise, but I think it might be a HP properitery card

    Last time I checked, HP soldier the chipsets to the main board, that's how they get the slimmer chassis. But, likely a HP proprietary bus adapter.

    HP machines are doomed to zero upgrade paths besides for ram.. lol..
