    I noticed something strange today.

I installed Everest Home Edition and SpeedFan on my new notebook, and for some reason, it does not report a temperature for the 8400m GS inside. It only reports HD0, Temp1 (ACPI, which I assume is the motherboard), Core 0 and Core 1. Is this normal? Or is this some kind of chipset problem?

I don't know about Everrest home edition, but Everest ultimate can detect gpu temperatures. Speedfan can't.
Another program that can detect gpu temps is ntune
