Hey guys, newbie here. I have a choice between 2 laptops. Gonna beused for basic school, but which one of the two will be better for playing WOW? I have read that the 4670 is a bit better for gaming, but will the 8GB of ram in the hp make up for it? Will it be better then the Dell because of it? I know WOW isn't demanding, but i'd like to play it on highest possible settings. So, they are about same price, which one will be better for gaming. Also, ram is same exact type. Both DDR3 1333mhz. Thanks in advance.

8 GB of ram will in no way make any difference in making up for a having a 230M vs HD4670. 4GB should be more than enough.

But considering WoW is said to be more CPU than GPU, the 230M should be fine. Whichever you like more is the one to get :p

Ok, so im also considering play crysis, so if i were to consider this laptop, http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11516270&whse=BC&Ne=5000000+4000000&eCat=BC|84|56670&N=4017745%205000108&Mo=9&No=1&Nr=P_CatalogName:BC&Ns=P_Price|1||P_SignDesc1&lang=en-US&Sp=C&topnav=
Hopefully link works. But if not, its a toshiba i7 1.6ghz, 6GB ram, 64GB SSD with 500GB HD, and a Nvidia GTS 360m. This one is $400 more then the dell, but is it worth it? Will it be noticeably different?

For that price you can get a much better machine, much faster GPU that will handle Crysis better. Check out www.xoticpc.com and look at the Sager NP8690 or something like that: http://www.xoticpc.com/sager-np8690-built-clevo-w860cu-custom-gaming-laptop-p-2659.html

The 5870 will thrash the 360M in performance, and it's $200 cheaper. The 360M is just a rebranded 260M, which is just a rebranded 160M, which is just a rebranded 9800. Nvidia hasn't had a new architecture in a long time, so it uses a lot more power, throws off a lot more heat and has a lot fewer new features than the ATI cards.

Ok, well im limited to buying comp from Costco, so is the Nvidia GTS 360M better then the ATI Radeon 4670? Also, anyone know if the Dell has a backlit keyboard?

GTS360M will be better but what laptop are u looking for... also what graphic memory it has? if the GTS360M has GDDR5 , no problems... if GDDR3... don't expect much more... u really better off with the sager... its future-proof and 5870 will trash anything and u can play directx 11 games... go and get the sager really...
