    Hi,

I am very interested in a DV2000T, it comes with intel duo core and Geforce 7200 go.

My target is to be able to run Oblivion at medium settings, HL2 and Quake 4 too..

My main purpose for this laptop is actually to do work (programming, matlab, etc), but gaming on the side will be good. I know it is *much* cheaper to game on a desktop, so will probably jump on the next Dell Desktop Superdeal (you know, the ones with the 24" LCD).

My question is: should I wait for HP to upgrade the DV2000 series to Duo Core 2? If I wait, will they change the 7200 go to at least a 7400 or (gasp) 7600 go??
And if so, how long would this wait have to be?

    Thanks!

Why not just buy a laptop that's closer to a desktop replacement instead of buying two systems? Any laptop that has a 256 MB GeForce 7600 Go or Radeon X1600 will be able to play the games you specify at the settings you desire. Yes, they may cost a bit more, but it should even out in the long term rather than buying two separate machines.

Hello, thanks for the suggestion. Yes, I guess if I settle for a 15" desktop replacement I can find a 7600 go.. the problem is I need this to be more mobile and portable (ie 14" seems just right, not too small or big), for doing my work on the school campus, cafes, etc. But then at the end of the day when I take it home, can play some games..

Hi, I took a look at the PowerPro Supra. It is indeed very nice in specs. But how is this brand, its quality, and its design? I have not heard of this brand before..
