    HP updates Graphics Cards on Pavilions

    You can now get a 512MB 8600M GS on the new dv9700t and a 256MB 8400M GS on the new dv6700t notebooks.

    So....they didn't really update the graphics cards in the current notebooks? They released new notebooks and put new graphics cards in them?

    They changed the amount of Memory you can get on each of them. Which I think its not smart. They should have changed tot he 8600M GT on the dv9700t

    The extra memory will help a little bit, but not much at all. Just a marketing gimmick that 'more is better,' and it sounds like HP is trying to take advantage of that.

    PC manufs are the same as car manuf. In a car either HP or gas mileage sells the car. In a PC its MHz and RAM.
