woo! I won one. haha. I'll sit out of the AvP round, not that interested. good luck to all that enter!

-
oh dang, you have to install Dawn of War II to play chaos rising. you don't have to buy it, just download it.
-
Huh? Oh yeah, well, if you download DoW II, then chaos rising is like a 2MB file. It's kinda like Compay of Heroes. You have to download the main game, then the expansions are super small.

Chaos Rising definitely includes the first game as far as downloads.
I did not have the original and downloaded the chaos rising files.
A week later I got the original off ebay and when I added it to steam instead of downloading it just let me play it right away. -
And we're still not plowing through the coop campaign >:[
-
Just finished chaos rising campaign!I love RTSes.

Thanks again to lord htwingnut <3

Hey wingnut, nice to see the annual Christmas giveaway is still going on courtesy of yourself and a few others.
-
You're welcome. And thanks everyone for contributing your knowledge over the years too.
I don't want to get all old man-ish on you. But the internet as a general purpose utility is quite new and am so happy we have it. When I was young, I had to play with friends within walking or biking distance that my mom would let me go. If I wanted to play games with someone I had to be at their house. That was good in a way, but also, you were somewhat limited with whom you could associate with. Now you can meet tons of people online and play with anyone at pretty much any time. It was never that easy.
My niece is 15 years old. My sister (her mother) lived a good six hours from us in Indiana for seven or eight years, while my niece was growing up. They moved within an hour or so of me a couple years ago. My niece has been able to keep in regular contact with her good friends on a daily basis through email, webcam, texting, etc. Before you would have to write a letter or phone them, and freuently would lose touch altogether. It's so nice to have convenient options to stay in touch.
Sites like NBR help concentrate the general knowledge of the enthusiasts for everyone to use for free. Sure there's always misinformation, but enough people together keeps that in check. Double thanks to the moderators who have a hellish job of keeping everyone in line, and keeping this site running family friendly. Sure as an older person it gets on my nerves a bit to keep everything better than PG, but in the end it makes for a better and nicer community. Not everyone can take the brashness of foul language or insults.
So, anyhow, one week to Christmas. I'm excited because my oldest child is 3 years old and actually kind of "gets" Christmas this year. Sure it's all materialistic Santa Clause hoo ha, but that's the fun of it. Sure I'll celebrate the true meaning, but for me, seeing them so happy will be the best Christmas I could ever get. -
Wow.... did you like also have dinosaurs to get you from one place to another when you were growing up?
-
Not funny.
The dinosaurs all died! How do you think they would feel about being made fun of like this!?! -

That's awesome htwingnut, sounds like things are looking up for you and your children, and when things do you share it with others. That is amazing and that is what the Christmas spirit and meaning is all about. 3 is an amazing age, just don't blink or they will be 6 like my oldest
The materialistic hoo ha in a sense is Christmas, not the item but the joy and little grin on your kids face. Hope everyone on here has a wonderful Christmas

They all try to bite you, and actually succeed. I now have lost one achilles tendon a kneecap and part of my glutes. It must be how they feed because they sure as heck don't ever stop to eat anything.
-
I'll stay out of this one too, as I bought it a couple days ago on sale.
Fingers crossed for the rudolf (related to adolf? Just sayin') drawing! -

We have several duplicate numbers for today's giveaway. I will be gone until this afternoon, so I will forward a PM to you with duplicates. Sorry I haven't been on it more, just no time, so you will have a few hours and have a few choices:
1. Leave your number, if a number is pulled that makes your number win, the person with the earliest number wins. If another number is pulled that is closest to that number, then the next duplicate wins.
2. Pick a new number. Must be at least 99 above or below existing number to keep someone from choosing 223 instead of 222 for example.
3. Let me pick a random number for you.
If I don't hear back from you then I will just leave it, because you'll need two numbers near that one in order to win.
Check your PM. -
Oh yeah, no more entries for Just Cause 2 as of now....
