Now before I get banned I'm talking about offline cheating for fun. Nothing competitive or achievements.
Back when I used to be into PC games there were always cheats or hacks for things like god mode. Does this sort of stuff happen for steam? I would love God mode for GTA so I could drive around uzing people and not worry about peski cops at the end of a long day.
Or does all of steam secuirty and VAC or what have you get in the way of some good old cheating?
It seems to me cheating is dead art form?!

VAC only applies to games that Valve makes/licencees out.... other then that steam is just a download service that allows you to buy other companies games..... its up to the other companies to allow cheating in the games they make or not
-
Well some games still have their cheats like Dragon Age Origins and Risen ._. Most of them don't seem to have the codes though
-
You might try looking/Google for programs called trainers.
Basically, trainers run in the background (like FRAPS) and enable cheats like infinite health, money, ammo, etc for games that don't have them built-in. -
Provided it's offline and you aren't looking through the source code then valve doesn't have a problem with it.
