    i did the free thing through the ATI offer to get this lol ... my desktop has a ATI card... so i installed steam on my new notebook specs in sig and ran half life 2 deathmatch fine but when i load lost coast i get a Engine Error : Gamegui when it loads ... any ideas?

    its definitely the OS

    basically no games like 64 bit operating systems (yet- that will change in the future) and the few that do REALLY dont like vista 64 bit.

    kk thats what i figured... going to set up dual boot xp and vista and just use xp for games i think ... so ill do that this week

    64-bit has no value to most people right now. Sager should have included both the 32- and 64-bit discs with your NP5760 ghostrida - just install Vista 32-bit.

    dude i cant even install steam on my notebook. i dont know what the deal is. i have the 32 bit version too.

    you SHOULD be able to run stuff on vista 32 bit...

    either way, ideally you should be running xp right now.

    ya i have both the 32bit and 64bit cd's hvnt tried it with 32bit but i just reformatted and loaded xp on there just to compare to see how it handles the games i play different from vista 64 bit
