    Half Life 2 Problem

    I have had HL2 for couple months now and havent had any problems, now when I try logging into Steam it says this erros message:

    Fatal Error: Failed to load platform modules

    What does that mean, has anyone else had this problem? I would appreciate any help at all, because I have no idea why this error is coming up.
