I need a no CD patch, every one i have tried didn't work, I don't want to have to put in the CD all the time, so I need a NO-CD crack.

You don't need a no cd crack. Just go on steam and put your serial there. You will get the game added to your game list and wont need the cd anymore.

also, i don't believe you're allowed to talk about cracks like that on NBR. but yes, if you don't want to use a CD, the viable solution is to download steam and register your game onto there.

Just visit Steam web site, register for a new account and download / install the Steam client.
Then register the key with that.

Once it finishes, you can launch it via Steam without the disk.

Half-Life 1 aint a big game so it should finish quickly.
Steam uses another type of install where it organized every game inside its folder named "Steamapps", so thats why it needs to redownload.

Does this work for a non-STEAM version of the game too?

Half-life came before Steam was up, so it is not a Steam version.
