Ive seen a half life 2 pack on the internet it includes

    Half-Life 2
    Half-Life 2: Deathmatch
    Half-Life 2 Episode 1

Could you tell me which order these are meant to be played and if these are all the games from half life 2 up until today?

HL2 Deathmatch is just a... well, deathmatch game. it's meant for multiplayer online play. No story involved.

Half-Life 2 is played first. The HL episodes are episodic sequels. Rather than a complete sequel, you get it in segments. Episode 1 is the first part. Episode 2 is in production now.

you might want to at least read a recap of the plot fromHL1 on wikipedia or somthing. its not required to understand, but would make it a bit more interesting.

For some reason HL2 makes me nauseous but HL2 Deathmatch doesn't. And I mean physiologically, not psychologically.

Is it bad that I only ever really started HL1 but never finished it? :(

I still have to finish HL2, but am waiting for my new laptop to arrive. Before I gave away my old desktop I backed up my saves for all my games. I can't wait to see HL2 in widescreen with most everything maxed out. I'd kind of like to go through the whole game again that way. Maybe I could play it a 2nd time through. That's a rare thing for me, though.

How is Episode 1? I haven't picked it up yet.

Yea, i found once i beat hl2 there was really no use in playing it again. I also never did beat hl1 but hey theres still time. I found HL2 deathmatch LOADS of fun for the first couple of days, but it gets boring fast.
