    No, it has not been officially announced or even hinted at its existence, but it if Gabe Newell and Valve have any sensibilities, they *will* release a Half-Life 3.

    I just thought I'd start a thread for others to share information on any information on Half-Life 3, or even Half-Life 2 Episode 3. But at this point I think Valve would go full bore Half-Life 3.

    The fact that Valve has nothing on the books past 2012 for release may be an indication they are hard and heavy at work on HL3 perhaps? Maybe E3 2012 will be a good time for an announcement. Please?

    I surely hope those photos were taken at his home. I can't imagine, even if he was the boss, that those would be allowed in a place of employment.

    That HL3 logo is fake!!! Some Reddit user superimposed it over the original image which has no such logo.

    I sure hope so that there will be HL3, half life is the franchise that hooked me into FPS, hope they will continue until HL11 :)

    They do 3d modelling work at valve. Since they make games like Counter Strike, those may have relevance. They may even be props (not sharp). Sort of presumptuous.

    The guy at the mall kiosk where I bought my cellphone had a big knife like that. When I started having problems with my phone and complaining, he started touching the handle of the knife so I could see. I was so pissed I left and called my cell company and made a formal complaint. The guy dissapeared for a few years, but eventually returned to town, without a knife on his hip.

    I daresay Gaben can do whatever he wants at Valve.

    As someone else mentioned, that image is definitely fake; someone just edited the logo on the monitor.
