ok I have the latest Omega install and when i run HalfLife 2 the director who talks on the big tv screen (i forgot his name) is missing half his face, its all black. Also when I get to barney he is missing half his face also once he takes his helmet off. I have even tried setting direct3d and opengl to highest quality and no change. any ideas?

Try using catalyst 6.12 , they run HL/CS a lot better then omegas do (omegas look grainy and are off in some areas).

c:\program files\ati\uninstallall first then download and run 6.12

nah there better for 9-series and x100 series..at least in my opinion. i find them to be so grainy for mobility x1000 series.

Yeah, I havent had much success running the Omega drivers with my X1400. I've experienced graphical corruption and whatnot. Until I deleted XP, I was happily running 6.10

I'm currently running 6.12 that came pre-installed. Haven't noticed any problems but I do notice whenever i play games, once in a while when I'm moving or turning it spikes and lags a bit (screen movement gets jerky for a second).

Did you by any chance change the video options while you were in-game? I know that if I do that on my laptop, sometimes I get those problems, and I have to restart the game to get rid of the issue.
