To play Halo: Combat Evolved and have it run well, what hardware would you need for a laptop?

You must be able to find the specs somewhere on the internet.

Although they give you the basics, it's always advisable to look above that. CPU, GPU and memory mainly.

Post the specs if you like, I'll help you out.

    :D

    SPECS: Soon. Soon.

Microsoft says 128 MB RAM, 32 MB T&L Capable video card, and a 733 mhz processor. I just feel like with those stats the game just wouldn't really work. It would have to be more demanding than that...

    You're absolutely correct.

I remember trying to play Halo on my desktop that, unfortunately, is getting on.

That had an 850mhz P3 in it with 256 RAM and a 128mb GPU (Although it was an GF MX) and it ran terribly. If my memory serves me well, i managed to get just below 20fps at 800*600.

If you want to get half-decent frames per second, i'd saying you're looking at 1.2Ghz (maybe slightly less) with 256RAM and a 128meg GPU or higher(depending on the card itself) with the latest DirectX atleast.

    :/ tbh

So to have it run at its best you would need like a 1.5 ghz processor and 512 mb ram?

For a minimum, yes. As long as you have a half-decent GPU to back it all up.
