    Halo 2 Vista at GoGamer

This is the DVD version of Halo 2 for Windows Vista (they're making an official patch to run it on XP, or you can get mods that do it already), for $19.90 USD + ~$3.00 for shipping, they'll set you up with "dirt cheap" shipping but it's only a few cents more to up it to priority mail.

This deal ends in 63 hours, 33 minutes, 21 seconds as of typing this, so you have a day or two to decide, but hurry!

There are several advantages to having Halo 2 on the PC over the xbox....

    -Achievements:
This isn't a very big selling point, but I've seen people admit that achievement points have been a factor in buying games, and at $20 it shouldn't take much incentive to get this game.

    -Dedicated Servers:
Any Halo 2 player knows how much of a pain in the arse it is to be at the mercy of the matchmaking system because your friends list, which is limited to 100 people across all xbox live games together, isn't willing to get a custom game you want to play going.

    -New Maps:
Now, anyone with good 3D modelling skills can make awesome Halo 2 maps, the process is such that anyone good at 3DSMax or GMax will be able to make a good map, but the quality is controlled by the fact that it takes dedication to make one, and not just any noob can make a crappy map.

    -Custom Content:
The map editing software has been "unlocked" to allow custom content, this can range from tiny mods to the damage numbers to drastic changes to how the game is played. Using Halo 1 PC maps as an example, people have added countless new vehicles (from halo vehicles like pelicans and mongeese, to custom vehicles like jets, motorcycles, and mechs), new weapons (again, from halo universe weapons like ones from Halo 2 or 3, to all new weapons like the XM8 w/ grenade launcher, a mine launcher, swords, etc...), and even total conversion level mods (one example is a Zelda map complete with rideable horses, archery, bombs, and swords, another is a medieval map where you run around fighting with swords, spears, crossbows, and bows). Only time and peoples imagination will tell what kind of amazing maps will be made for the game.

    But the catch....

You need xbox live gold to use the dedicated servers and the user created content. (not 100% sure on the restrictions, as I've had xbox live for a long time now cause I'm an xbox fanboy and so of course haven't had any restrictions).

Personally, i'd buy an Xbox and some kind of 1+2 pack instead of buying the Vista version. It runs quite poorly for such a dated looking game.

Idk if I consider it even worth $20 now. Sure, the online is great, but you still need a good PC to run it because it has been coded so badly. My 8600M GT runs it "fine", but it still chugs sometimes and doesn't even look good. Games like F.E.A.R. that look much better run so much smoother.

But, damn, that site has very good deals. Every single one of the items I checked there, has a lower price than all it's competitors.
