So I got the crack to make it run in Win XP. What a crap of game! I just couldn't believe it, it totally looks like a game made 3 year ago, no kidding, much worse graphics than HL2 or Doom 3. I'm playing in max settings and this is a joke. They should have release Halo 2 one year after Halo at the most. I can't believe that without the crack, I'd need Vista, for this?!
If Halo 2 is the flag of Vista, now I see why they are starting to call it ME 2.

Halo 2 is a MS game, and Vista is an MS OS. So it makes sense that MS would try to force H2 fans to use Vista...that is the only reason it Vista is 'required.' H2 is even a DX9 game, which means there is no reason XP could not support it.

it is just coded to play only on vista. like halo made the xbox. microsoft hope that halo 2 will turn everyone to vista. but the game does place much better on vista as it is designed to use some of vistas system

yeah halo 2 shouldve been given the same timeframe that halo did. waiting all this time to release it has really killed the game and all theyve done was port it over without improving graphics and such.

it aint worth buying, id rather buy the new TF game which also sux than a 3 yr old fps

Finally someone agrees with me. I posted a rant about this is another thread, I couldn't believe how **** it looked, as well as actually being harder on my video card then games like Far Cry, FEAR and Half Life 2. Someone actually posted to say no way, Halo 2 looks amazing!
