If you're just interested in the multilayer, get Halo 1 for the PC. Nothing really new in Halo 2, and Halo 3 other than just more weapons and different levels...

If Halo 2 is any guide, it'll probably be a Windows 7 "exclusive."

I was an avid Halo and Halo 2 fan, bought Halo 2 after waiting forever in queue on launch day, but I haven't even seen Halo 3 running....

Same. Guess it's the fact I don't know anyone who owns a 360.

    I have it.

It really is a different game.

Sure the graphics aren't on par with some games, but the gameplay has been majorly modified in my opinion.

One of the best multiplayer games out there. <3

this is the most over hyped game ever created and its not even that good, crap story mode that was too easy even on the hardest level, only had trouble with the last level and sure the MP is okay, but the maps arent that great and neither are weapons and vehicles.

its just Halo 2, with slightly better graphics, a few different weapons and a few different vehicles

    why would you want this?

idk why don't u ask the 130 000 ppl that r always playing online everyday. People buy it because they loved the first 2 games and they want to see if the 3rd is just as good. yeah its about the same but halo 3 really did step it up more vehicles and guns and some other weird things u can use. But in my opinion i would only buy it for online if u don't have live its a waste of money

Not everyone thinks like you do.

Too easy on the hardest level? The people who play games on the hardest levels have nothing better to do and no better games to play. While you are complaining about difficulty levels, why don't you go beat the Ninja Gaidan games on highest difficulty?

I bought the Halo series of games because I enjoyed the storylines. I read the three books available after the inital game came out (Fall of Reach, The Flood, First Strike), played the second game to find out what happened next, read the fourth book (Ghosts of Onyx), and proceeded to play the third game to finish off the story (which I thought was fairly decent scifi).

Halo multiplayer (all) has never been fun or interesting for me. Come to think of it, the only console multiplayer I have ever really enjoyed was for the MechAssault series.

Multiplayer FPS will always be more fun for me on the PC.

Once again, not everyone thinks like you do.

    /RANT ON
    (following from the "anyone" train)
Anyone who bought ANY of the Halo games for multiplayer should've just lit their Xbox and Halo copies on fire and purchased a Wii. The campaign was the only decent part of the game and every other part (except maybe the level editor) was so much packaged fail that everyone who played it should file a class action lawsuit against the US government for allowing a company like Bungie to create such an abomination (probably funded by terrorists) of a multiplayer mode.
    /RANT OFF

Edit: Oh right, and yes we will see Halo 3 for PC. They all come to the PC as soon as people get tired of buying the console versions (as someone mentioned above).

    :p
