I'm reading this article and getting somewhat excited for this game. Because of how Xbox play anywhere works, I can potentially cross play this with a local friend even if there is no split screen support. Just depends if they include cross platform play.

The question is though, can a console based game ever feel like a true RTS and make it on PC? I'm cynical but I want to hear other thoughts and opinions.

Looking forward to some reviews and streams when this launches February 21st.

This could be either good or bad, but there will be zero cross play support. They cited the PC platform as being incompatible with the console due to balance and controller disparity.

I'm a little more excited now because I didn't realize this was being developed by the makers of total war, in collaboration with 343i. So the strategy elements could actually be tightly woven into the gameplay.
