    hamachi is also a very useful VPN for doing things other than just doing VLAN gaming.

    I am confused about this topic not because I don't know what Hamachi is, but as to why you'd want to simulate a LAN for games that already have Internet multiplayer support?

    Yeah, but you could just connect via internet multiplayer, which is already in those games.

    I do use Hamachi for old games that have LAN support but not internet multiplayer, like Age of Empires II. :D

    I believe you could already play online with the community and your friends in all of those games, without needing to get a VPN going.

    edit: oh, the OP is using stolen software, which won't work on the regular servers. got it.

    Yep, Hamachi along with cracks etc are one of the many methods used to enjoy pirated game.
