Load times will be slower, but that is about it for gaming. The faster hard drive will offer better system performance.

Shouldn't be too big of a deal. Programs - and different sections of a game may act like a seperate program - will load slightly slower. Ie... when you go to a diff. room in a game where it has to load new graphics that part would be slower but once it loaded there would probably not be much of a difference at all.

The hard drive speed won't affect your in-game performance, only the loading times as noted.

Don't forget that you can always upgrade the hard drive at a later time if you want more speed. You may consider just getting the base and then buying a faster one.

you will definitely have slower load times, but once your in the game it wont matter, unless your accessing something on your hard drive.

as Chazman421 said, you can upgrade it..and it will most likely be cheaper to buy it separately. not sure on how hard it is to install (im most familiar with desktops), but im sure you get help here.

    hope this helps.

    pb,out.

It's very easy to upgrade the hard drive in a laptop. Just remove a compartment door on the bottom of the notebook, pretty self-explanatory from there.

What I would suggest doing is taking the hard drive you are replacing and sticking it in an external 2.5" enclosure - portable storage. I have a 2.5" hard drive in an enclosure, very cool. :)

Makes it harder to share data with others. If you can get the service manual, it will explain how to rmove/replace the hard drive.
