Hardware Acceleration And ATi Radeon Xpress 1100

I was wondering if I can get Harware Acceleration On my Acer 5100 notebook, it says that my drivers do not allow Hardware acceleration on my notebook. Is it possible to overcome that?

Hardware Acceleration should be enabled by default considering you are running Aero(DWM). You are just not able to change it for some reason.

BTW, my HD3200 displays the same message as well. I dont know the reason why this option isnt showing but most likely it is related to the drivers. Try a different possibly older version and see if the option comes back.

Also, I have noticed my laptop will not play videos hardly at all anymore, Like really, my portable dvd player can play videos better than this laptop can, Any help again?

Could it have to do with limited hard disk space, which only has 2.50GB free, im considering getting a larger hard drive, would that help?

I mean, the laptop used to play videos just fine, could it just be a software flaw in vista, or ATi's drivers?

Whether it is or not, I hope I can resolve this. Any help greatly appreciated.

PS: sorry for bumping my thread..
