    Hi all,

Just a mater of interest. What is the most hardware demanding game out there at the moment?
I see BF2 asks for a min of 128mb of ram,or is FEAR still the hardware killer?or is there something in the pipeline that will everyone cry.

I'd say it's a toss-up btw BF2 and Fear (but I dunno how Prey will be). I still think that BF2 is the more demanding of the two. It's a RAM hogger.

    Either Oblivion or F.E.A.R.

BF2 is also demanding but I can personally run it slightly higher with a better framerate on my x800 desktop then I can run FEAR on the same.

I can also run BF2 fine on my Geforce go 6400, but I haven't bothered trying F.E.A.R as of yet....

Oblivion is the most demanding game at the moment, mostly as a result of poor coding. It is the worst port from the xbox I've seen.

Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter is demanding, part of that being because it is a port as well.

FEAR is demanding and definitely deserving of it, since it is a real PC game.

Yes very true chaz. I mean after spending an extra 3 months to optimize that game its still horribly demanding. Hopefully they can fix something in patches because that game is amazing.

The worst I've tried is F.E.A.R. My setup (see sig) can't run it at max settings, though close, and I still get lag during intense shadow rendering. It's a beast. I'm hoping to upgrade to 2gigs of RAM and hopefully that will help a little. I've never tried Oblivion though. And Prey runs at max settings quite smoothly on my rig.

Possibly the fall. There are no system requirements for Crysis, the game itself is not complete yet.
