    Can you elaborate a bit more on which aspect do you believe is horrible?
    I personally found the game pretty interesting, and is looking forward to playing the games with a couple of friends when it gets release. :D

    Namely the pacing of the game; the ugly, rigid character animations don't help much, either.

    well, its source engine so that pretty much means you think CS:S, HL2 (and all the episodes), TF2 (is that Source engine?), etc. are all horrible

    I like the look of Dead Space.

    Currently getting a few games for my old Xbox like Cold Fear, sort of getting into that genre now.

    I game made on the same engine does not mean that it have to look good. There are many games made on good engines that looks like crap and the other way around. I saw a free FPS made on the Quake engine and damn it looked good compared to Quake!
