I've heard good and bad things about it. How would it compare to WoW?

I'm assuming your talking about D&d stormreach? I played it for quite awhile on my desktop, however, my desk top was grossly sub-par in terms of ram for playing that game. BUT all in all I still had a great time playing it and made some pretty cool friends.

Basically ALL the game is from the little I played (To level 4) Is run to this guy, get quest, run back collect reward, sell items you found during quest to vendor, buy potions, and take on another quest. It pretty much loops like that non-stop, theres no real sense of "Well I want this item so I'll just go kill random enemies until I get it" In my opinion it lacks freedom like WoW has in that it doesnt let you expand and do your own thing aside from the quests.
In it's defense though the quests are ALOT of fun and some can run as long as 2-4 hours to complete the whole thing so you definitely don't get bored. I just got an E1705 and I'll probably put it back on there it's a decent game.

    Hope that helps,
    Jake

Sounds good. Thanks for the answer. I'm looking to avoid WoW for now and this sounds like a good alternative. Plus I hear that they do lots of expansions.
