Everyone is saying geforce go 6100 is integrated GPU , it doesnt have dedicated memory...

but when i was buying my laptop (check signature for specs) the site said geforce go 6100 with 288 dedicated memory
...does this mean the gpu has its own memory and remaining it draws from RAM or is it that they lied??

Nvidia Geforce Go 6100 with 288MB total available memory is what they meant (or should have said)

Integrated GPU's can have dedicated memory, but its usually a small amount.

As for yours, try running CPU-Z to see what it is at.

Most of the time it would make a very large difference but on a card that old and slow it does not really matter at all.

Yea, i meant old cards.. New cards like the MBP 8600M GT with 128mb or 256mb dedicated, it makes quite some difference.

Yes, your mind tricked you. You probably confused integrated with dedicated. it's integrated.
