I just got a Sony Vaio VGN-NR260E T2330. Not sure what all I need to say here to explain what I have. What my problem is I can do anything I've tried so far except load and play a specific game, Second Life. My old computer was older and not as fast as this one and I was able to play it. When I try to load the game it crashes after I hear the music starting. I don't know if anyone else has this problem with this specific notebook. It says a minimum graphic card needed is Intel 945 chipset. Or Nvidia or ATI graphic cards (here is the link for the requirements for the game Second Life, if this helps any. http://secondlife.com/corporate/sysreqs.php
I've downloaded Driver Detective and it says my "display adapters" are outdated. It says I have (2) Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset. I assume a 965 is higher than a 945 so not sure why its not letting this particular game run. I've tried everything to get this graphic card (display adapter- if it's the same thing) to update and run. Any suggestions? Please be very very specific. I don't know anything about computers and am very frustrated.

I think I have figured out your problem....
You are actually PLAYING SECOND LIFE!!!!!!! -
Hey man don't dis on second life to much. The universal Fascilities of secondlife are begining to get noticed by scholastic and business executives, who have begun to use it in an productive manor of business meetings and in 'in game class room' sessions.
My college has an entire Island in secondlife devoted to our writers club where users can get together and share works, submit works for the school journal and hold club meetings.
Anywho, on a similar note how ever, I can agree that second life isn't the best game in the world to be playing but you know, it's popular enough to warrent the users it has, so something must be right.
Point is, the guy came looking for help and you are flaming him, so Chill out.
Nessy, if the game crashes every time you hear sound, it sounds like it's your sound drivers or your sound card. I know much about Second life and i've actually played it before in the past, I can't say I played it for very long or remeber any specific details of the game, but point blank, it SHOULD run on any PC that was made in the last 5 years or so...
My only suggestion to you is that you disable your sound and see if it runs with any hitches...then go from there.
