Having problems with DiRT on my Asus G1S

Hi. I just got my Asus G1S a week ago, and I tried playing DiRT. However I experienced stuttering in the intro video as well as random slow downs and speeds ups in the menu as well as in a race itself. I tried both normal settings and everything on low.
I'm running Windows XP on the G1S, and have tried the 163.44 and 162.18 drivers from laptopvideo2go. I was wondering whether other people experience problems with this game too and if anyone knows any solutions.

P.S. I know this doesn't belong in this area, but I didn't want to create a new threat. When I run VLC Media Player in DirectX mode (which is the default) I get what seems to be a colour-filtered screen, where a movie file is predominately green and red, as well as 2 thick lines going down in the program.

    Thanks for any help.
