I don't know whether they are the same or not but I assume that the 512MB model is the one with DDR2. The pro (desktop I also assume) is the same core but just clocked higher since desktops don't have to worry about power consumption as much.

My thread's kind of old but based on the Crysis results you should be able to gauge the rest of those games performance. (Seems like the pics were removed from the hosting site, oh well).
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=186585

Quick rundown: Crysis 1280x800 in DX10
    All LOW Settings: Min/Max/Avg, 12/33/26
    All MED Settings: Min/Max/Avg, 4/19/14

This was conducted using the demo using 7.10-.11 driver in the Crysis demo. The min frame value was tested at the fire/flare? on the beach since it was the most graphically demanding thing I bothered to get to in the demo. Mind you that the required frame rate for this game is actually very low since at 20 fps the game seemed perfectly playable. This should mean that the other games should be playable at the same resolution but with better graphics since Crysis is very demanding. Hope this is the answer you were looking for.

One of them is higher clocked I believe, though I don't know which one. I think the 2600pro is the older desktop card. I don't know if they even make the pro for laptops.

Pro is the desktop card (but the chips are identical, just laptop ones may be rejects that can't make desktop speed), the XT is the laptop with GDDR3 version of the HD2600.

There is no mobile Pro version, but there is the mobile HD2600XT.

Whatever GDDR3 video card you can find get that laptop. in this order: HD2600, 8600M GT, 9500M GS, HD3650. That is if your budget is around $1200 or less.
The HD2600 does quite well in games, as long as you don't use AA.

Edit: When it refreshed I see that notyou already made that first point

I really like that notebook, and almost bought it. They actually had the F3KA-X3 that had a GDDR3 version of the HD2600, but Newegg sold out. All the forums I have read the people said it worked great. It should do you well.

One of the things I learned about the F3KA series from the ASUSTEK forum is that you can upgrade the CPU to the Turion X2 "Tyler" core or "Gold Edition", which has a faster "FSB" of sorts and if you do that the system can fully utilize DDR2-800 RAM giving you a big boost if you upgrade the RAM. Means you can also go to the TL-68 which is 2.4Ghz at the same power consumption as the TL-60 is in the stock F3KA.

So in a year or two you can upgrade for like $150, and have a whole new laptop experience.

You can find a bigger battery for them as well, but they do cost a lot.

I decided to wait for AMD's new platform coming out in June. This will come with DDR2-800 standard and an all new chipset, which is superior. I expect it to be about the same price point too, and these notebooks will go down one or two hundred bucks.
