Does a dedicated graphics card really add that much more heat, thus making the fan run more?

I'm looking at a Latitude 830 with Intel's new integrated card and waiting till middle of June to get it or going with the 820 and getting it now but it only has dedicated graphics cards and I'm concerned about heat and fan usage....

    Thanks.
