    I've got a question...

The heat that's coming from my laptop, is it coming from my CPU (T9300), GPU (8400m GS), or HDD (250gb 5400rpm)?

Which one is mostly likely the culprit for the most heat? It seems like my HD is pretty warm (it's under my left palm so I can feel it), but the entire laptop is warm. Even at idle I can hear a fan running on low. It's about a month old and works perfectly. I haven't had any problems out of it whatsoever, I was just wondering what was causing the heat..

    Thanks!

It'll depend on what you're doing. But at idle, your GPU should be the warmest.

most notebook will run warm when you leave it on especially if you're listening to music or watching a video. you'll feel hd and gpu under normal usage and the gpu will really kick in when u do anything intensive. they all contribute to heat and you should just get used to it :)

The CPU is over 20, the HDD is around 4watts and the GPU takes less than 15 I think [I am speaking from the MAXIMUM usage though]
The main reason for HDD feeling so warm is the poor air circulation.
