That error message occurs everytime I try to start the game now. It used to run..."fine" where a bug or crash happened only every 10 minutes or so. Then I tried switching to dx10 mode and now it won't startup. It crashes after the splash opening. So I uninstalled and reinstalled and it still wants to start in its buggy dx10 mode and crash. I tried doing the vista patches, tried disabling onboard sound and sticking to my external sound card, tried running as admin, tied running in compatibility for winXP...I'm out of ideas and their forums are just page after page of disappointment and no answers. If I don't get any help from someone by the end of the week I'm returning it to the company and asking for my 50$ back.

The beta was more stable and had fewer bugs! This is inexcusable for a released product with a 3 year development time!

Have you tried newer video drivers like 169.04 from Laptopvideo2go.com assuming you are playing this on a laptop?

They fixed a similar issue for me. If you do go to Laptopvideo2go.com make sure to read the instructions for driver installation.

    Hope it helps.
