In case any Hellgate: London perspective players haven't heard there is now a special offer where you can pre-order Hellgate London and also get the bonuses of being able to play the beta, and get a special "dye kit" and "founders offer". :D

    http://www.hellgatelondon.com/preorder

There are currently four pre-order options:

Pre-order from Best Buy and get a Biohazard character dye kit.

Pre-order from Gamestop or BarnesandNoble and get a Lava character dye kit.

Pre-order from Walmart and get a Royal character dye kit.

Pre-order from EA or GoGamer and get a Wasp character dye kit.

one of the lamest pr's ever lol.

its like the bf2142 preorder campane. They advertised that you get an exclusive special weapon that you can only get if you preorder the game.

When the game comes out everybody finds out its just a replacement skin for an exsisting weapon, and the skin was so big that it was worse than the stock one, and the people you kill with it dont even see the new skin just the default one.

However do you know how many people fell victim to that little scam?? thousands preordered just so they could have a weapon nobody else had.

Well the dye kit is a color change, one you can get normally in game without any special offeres, im wiling to bet that these dye kits are not exclusive and can be had by anybody willing to put forth the effort in the game.

    Here is another pre-order option:
    http://hellgate.iahgames.com/preorder/

** note: It looks like this option may only be for International orders ** :(

With this one you get to choose between 3 other dye kits, and you get a Hellgate alliance patch. It should also be noted that this pre-order option costs $10 less than the others :)

I'm playing on medium settings in DX10 at 1680x1050 with an 8600M GT GDDR3 and my boyfriend can play on low-medium settings in DX9 at 1280x800 with an X1400. It looks pretty sad on low DX9 settings though :(.

Almost level 12 with my engineer, I started her a few days ago, man is she fun - GO MY ROCKET BOTS! :D

Playing it at max resolution 1680x1050 at medium settings, runs great except the parts when 20+ monsters ZERG you in the underground tunnels. I don't see a thing so I spam....constantly. Stella, what's your(and BF's) characters level?

this game looks really fun...i would be interested in playing, but first...

    1. What are the system requirements for this game? I've read somewhere that it might run on low-end systems and that could be a plus for me..
    2. Is there a monthly subscription??

    the gameplay looks lame

i think it will get boring after a while

    kinda repetitive

    trailer movies are AWESOME though.

think they won something for such sweet movies

The requirements are quite low, it looks very scalable. On my x700 I'm playing at 1680x1050 at medium settings which is pretty impressive. I can't comment on the fps cause I didn't figure out how to display it yet, but its pretty lag free, with some spikes when 30+ monsters are ZERGING you.

    The official requirements are:

OS: Windows XP with SP2 or Windows Vista
Processor: 1 .8GHz or faster (2.4GHz for Vista)
RAM: 1GB or more (2GB for Vista)
Video: DirectX 9.0c/10 compatible device w/ 128MB RAM or better and Pixel Shader 2.0 support; requires NVIDIA GeForce 6200/ATI Radeon 9000 chipset or greater
    Audio: DirectX 9.0c compatible device
Disc drive: 8x DVD or faster
Hard drive: 6 GB or more free space
    Input: Keyboard and mouse
    Internet: Connection required for multiplayer

Please note that the DirectX 10 mode of the game is only available if you have Windows Vista and a DX10-compliant graphics card installed:

    # ATI Radeon HD 2000 series (e.g. 2600, 2900)
    # NVIDIA GeForce 8 series (e.g. 8600, 8800)

    Yes and no:

    thanks coriolis!

Sounds like a good thing for me...although my video card is on the bottom of the totem pole, it still seems like i should be able to play this game contently...and seeing as how, if i do play, i won't ever be a guild leader, will never have 12 characters, and i'm patient enough for customer support, i won't be paying that $9.95....

Cori, I'm mostly playing a summoner--she's level 17 now. The boyfriend is playing a marksman and I think he's level 10 or 11 (I left for work at 5 and he was in bed when I got home so I don't know how much he played tonight). I've never played a pet class before and summoner is a blast to play. I want to try an evoker and a blademaster too, but I have to max out or get bored with this character first.

I've been running it with fraps up and the settings I listed earlier in the thread give me about 20-30 fps on average, with some dips a little lower when things get really busy on the screen.

Ok, so I got the pre-order code, got the account setup but the HG:L site is telling me that it will notify me when the beta begins. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the beta going on now? Am I too late to get in on this?

Unfortunately they send out the beta invites in waves :(. I had to wait about a week for my invite after ordering. They've said that the beta will continue until as close to release as possible, so hopefully for at least another couple of weeks.

I was a paladin then shaman (after expansion) in WoW so I'm doing something different as well :). My summoner is level 18 now!

Characters in HGL are Imogen, Imogin, and Annahra. I'm going to try and nab Stella when the characters reset, lol.

I have a lvl8 Battlemaster named Edwinvancleef, then I lent HGL to my friend who proceeded to make one of every class and get them to lvl6. Being curious about the classes, I tried his engineer and I love it. Currently lvl...13? 14? Don't remember, haven't had a chance to go on in a week due to midterms and work, even now, I shouldn't be on NBR ;)

The demo does not need beta key just install and play. And it does not have the dx10 mode probably because of the file size consideration. Performs similarly to the very last beta imo.

played with these settings (8600 ddr2 stock + 163.74 under vista), and I don't see any NDA during the installation so I assume we can talk about its performance now...

it runs okay with those settings indoor but can't say the same thing outdoor...
