I just put WoW on my laptop but it seems to be stuttering occasionally. I think it's mainly because of my frame rate going from 120-90fps while I'm playing. I don't have the stuttering problem when I unplug because it basically stays around 30fps. I thought v sync would get rid of the fps jumping by capping it but it didn't seem to do anything. Any ideas?

And just because I know someone is bound to ask....

    1. Check your internet connection and ping.
    2. Update your video card drivers.
    3. Make sure WoW is patched with the latest version.
    4. And since you only have 1gig of RAM the HDD may be accessing the pagefile.

Internet connection is the most likely culprit. You wouldn't even notice a jump from 120fps to 90fps, both are well above the point where your eye can detect a difference (around 60fps I believe).

Before fiddling with hardware check your internet connection and I'm betting a firmware upgrade will fix the problem or there is a problem with the line in your area. We were having problems with online games and Comcast came by to check and found massive packet loss coming from some connection nearby.
