Hey guys,
I have been searching and reading around, but I cannot seem to get an OC program to even work correctly first, nonetheless try increasing clocks!
I have tried the AMD GPU Clock Tool as described in the 5740G owner's lounge
( http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=468091).
I installed the program, but every time I run it, i get an error: "Failed: No Valid Devices Found!"
this is with driver signing disabled in win 7 64bit and program ran as administrator.
I also tried Rivatuner 2.24c as described in this thread: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=469021
But i realized that I do know the values to add to the Rivatuner.cfg file to enable the program to recognize my 5650!
Anyone have any ideas how I can get around these? do ppl know the values to be added to the Rivatuner.cfg file so the program can enable clock changes for my card?
I got this laptop for overclocking b/c 7140 3dmarks (06) is too slow. I dont want to throw $$ down the drain...
Thanks!

hey guys, sorry for so many posts.
i got the AMD GPU clock tool to work by installing 0.9.26 version.
however anyone know the values for the 5650 to add to Rivatuner.cfg so I can use that program and enable hotkeys and profiles?
AMD gpu clock tool is pretty primitive (but works great!), and do not support profiles and stuff
thanks -

try this, except that you substitute that value with the HD 5650's ID (don't know what it is) but it just might work -
Do you know the code for the 5650 then?
RV730 is the 4650, 4670 cores
what about the new 5600/5700 series?
RV8 something?
Help! I don't know how to get OC to work on my 5740G
