    Hi guys, I am trying to play wc3 on my Vaio. but it got stretched to the whole screen. how to put black bar as to maintain the ratio?

    Normally it's an option of the display. I am not sure if there are software options that can control that.

    not really stretched, its the edit to force the game to use your widescreen native resolution over using a 4:3 resolution that gets more stretched.

    WC3 never had fully support for widescreen, but the reg edit helps it a lot.

    in your nvidia control panel go to display settings and check the "maintain aspect ratio" box.

    argh somehow the option is greyed out (locked)

    ok for those interested, i found a fix. set the native to any non native resolution, 1280x768 is recommended. then the option won't be greyed out.
