I was going to play a game when it told me my driver was old... so it said to go download the new version. I have a Nvidia 8800 GTS by the way. so i went to nvidia.com and followed some steps and i think i downloaded it.
Then my computer restarted. And now im getting this error on my screen:
Analog
Out of rang
74.5 kHz / 60 Hz
And i have no idea what to do???

hmm, that looks like something to do with your monitor. is this after windows boots?
-
Yeah it boots up i see the loading screen but never the desktop. And then the screen goes black and has a blue box with that message.
Im mad cause i was just about to check out my new game hahah -
It looks like your new video card driver messed up your refresh rate. It's trying to force 75Hz but your monitor only does 60Hz. When Windows is loading, hit F8 to boot into safe mode, and then see if you can change your refresh rate (or try to uninstall/reinstall the video card driver).
-
Oh thanks. How can i change my refresh rate?
-
Thanks i got the problem fixed.
Also im trying to play City of Heroes by the way...
And it says my computer appears to be using older drivers for your video card.....
Anyone know i place were i can get an updated one? -
You can grab lastest WHQL and non WHQL signed driver there
hxxp://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?id=10
Links takes to you Nvidia offical 32bit driver section. Go to download incase you need 64bit or modified drivers.
In the future if you run the Out of Sync error on monitor. On bootup before windows loading press F8 and select Enable VGA mode and then once in windows select proper resolution with correct refresh rate for your monitor. -
Try the latest Xtreme-G drivers for whatever operating system you're using - they tend to provide the best performance in my experience. If after installing those CoH still gives you that error, is there some way you can just ignore it?
-
I have no idea what one to choose?
Also for some reason when i start COH i can see my mouse pointer at all?
Help FAST please
