Be sure to test thoroughly with OCCT or Furmark.

I would actually avoid Furmark at all costs. Especially for a mobile gpu. Furmark doesn't take into consideration anything thats happening in your system. This means that if you aren't paying attention and your gpu hits 130c, its not going to turn off while smoke starts pouring out of your brand new paper weight.

Here's your problem. You should never stress a system and leave it unattended.

Even though Furmark doesn't monitor the system, your system still monitors itself. The GPU will throttle itself if it gets too hot, and if it gets real bad it will shut itself down.

what are some common OC clock speeds people are getting with there 5650? ive been doing 875 and 700,,, im able to run Starcraft 2 on ultra,,, thats all I wanted, i have no idea what kind of FPS id get running at 1080, im gunna says 20 fps or so.... but at 720 or whatever res this laptop is at,,, it run around 40 fps on ultra, and 30 or so, during big battles... so I am very happy. such a sick buy, I was going to get a 1500 gameing laptop, but i figured meh I only play SC2, and this HP was on sale for 699 and a 5650. i couldnt really beat that price. less than half the price i was going to dish out for the ASUS g53jw. And it can play it on ultra, thats more than good for what I need it, and its a pretty sick lappy too, good screen, im more than satisfied.
