Hey all. I usually am not a big PC gamer, but this summer I will be spending 3 months in Australia on business and am looking for some games to pass the time. And since I obviously wont have my powerhouse PC or xbox with me, I wont be able to play the games I usually play.

Here are the specs on my S6231

    Chipset: Intel 855GME
    CPU Cache: 2MB
    CPU FSB: 400
    CPU Speed: Pentium M 1.6
    LCD Features: Crystal View
    Memory Slots: 2x 256MB
    Operating System: Windows XP Home
    Resolution: 1024×768
    Video Memory: Shared 64MB

So keeping this in mind, does anyone have any good games they would like to recommend that will actually run on my notebook?!

Look into RTS games like Rise of Nations.

Games like MDK or Grand Theft Auto 1 would be awesome.

Should run great on that machine.

My T250 also has 64 MB shared memory. A great 3rd person fighter/shooter is ONI, different because the main female character Konoko can use hand to hand fighting as well as weapons, which aim better than other 3rd person shooters. Though it's an old game it works well on my T250 on 1024x768. This remains my favorite game even though I have already won the first person shooter HALO. You can download a demo for ONI at:

If you like adventure games, I would suggest Syberia and Syberia 2...perfect laptop games. Awesome story with fun characters.

I don't think WoW will run very smoothly, but I've never tried it on mine.

WoW probably wouldn't run too great seeing as you have shared memory and only 512 mb to borrow from.
