Hi there guys!!
And yeahhh my brand new 1070 mxm card got screwed by my misuse.
Here is the story:
I have a P375SM, after some search around forums (mostly here) and such, i was iching to try the 1070. After some tinkering and help from eurocom support, i got it working but because i did not put some rubber feet to prevent the card from touching the motherboard, (trusted the builtin studs only) well it touched it and got short-circuited.
Tried to send to someone here in Brazil to fix it, but they did an awful job (i think i could do better if i got the hardware).
Right now when i try the card the notebook dosen't give video and beeps like if there's no card installed.
Here is how my card is right now:

I'm looking if there's any place that is trustworthy to send the card from Brazil to wherever it needs to go and if possible get fixed.
Any help is appreciated.

How is that even possible?
Sorry but the card literally cannot touch the metal ground, unless you break the card in half. My cards run without backplate and rubberfeet as well in all my clevos, never shorted because that's not even possible. I heard from people that the Gecube cards are fragile and die extremely fast. I suppose you prove it somewhat, thanks for that. I've never seen a card that got damaged this extensive. Normally there are just 1 maybe 2 components which are fried, but the damage on that card is rather extreme.
In terms of where to send. Try rossmangroup, the guy does mainly repair macbooks but I've seen him doing board repairs on graphicscards as well, someone ruined their GTX 1080 ti with a shuntmod and luis fixed it on stream.KY_BULLET likes this. -

I have your same exact machine (I installed my own GPU and I didn't use any rubber feet) and I can't understand how can the card touch the motherboard? this is fairly impossible with the two screw studs at WiFi side and the elevation of the socket.
Did you get this idea from Eurocom or did you see your card touching the motherboard? -

Can fix the smd components for you (have proper tools), but the damage might extend beneath the top-layer, so can't guarantee it'll run again. One or two smd's still seem to be missing as well, so also need a few good photos of a card from the same batch.
Send a pm if you want to give it a try.Dendrit3, Starlight5, Papusan and 4 others like this.
