I have a problem choosing the right software on Sony Vaio Fit 15. Should I take Nvidia GeForce 735m 2gb or 735m 1gb. Is there really a big difference. I'm going to take the intel core i5-3337u. And then 8gb of RAM. And 500gb hard drive.
I'm going to use this computer for internet browsing, for watching movies and also for some gaming. I'm sure that this runs minecraft and fsx but i would like to know if this runs games like bf3 or something like that. Please tell me what would be the fps for the games on high or medium settings.
I would really appreciate your help!

no expert here but a 1gb search of the 735 shows nothing but this is the 2gb tech spec NVIDIA GeForce GT 735M - NotebookCheck.net Tech

The Vaio Fit is equipped with GT 740m 1GB.

Per the link MrDJ kindly provided, most modern games would play on low or maybe medium settings. So no high, and no ultra.
Here is the average frame rate based on several different laptops.
Battlefield 3 (2011)
low: 46.5 fps
med.: 32 fps
high: 24.8 fps
As for the Fit 15, I did a quick search and found Engadget said:
" The Fit 15 starts at $700 with a Core i3-3227U processor, 4GB of RAM, integrated Intel HD 4000 graphics and a 500GB 5,400RPM hard drive paired with an 8GB SSD. From there, you can upgrade to a Core i5 or i7 CPU, up to 12GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GT 735M GPU with either one or two gigs of video memory."
So I don't know if it has one or two gigs. Try system info or simular program. -
1GB or 2GB vRAM is irrelevant with a 735m GPU.

that answers that then
thanks HTWingNut

So i should go with the 1 gig version because i'm not a hardcore computer gamer??

Point is to not even worry about it. If the laptop you want comes with 2GB, it won't hurt anything. IMHO if it costs more $$$ to upgrade from 1GB to 2GB version, I wouldn't spend the money, personally. If it were a 7970m or 8970m or 770m or 780m 1GB vs 2GB then I'd go with the 2GB. Even then, the need for more than 1GB is only needed for a handful of games and even then dropping detail a little bit resolves the issue.

HTWingNut that (Mulder, right?) avatar is just creepy.

Oh ok. Should I get a bigger hard drive or does it even affect on the performance?
