Bioshock is coming out soon. Hopefully the G1S will be able to run it on at least medium settings (assuming that better drivers come out by then).

Try out Resident Evil 4 for PC/PS2.

get the 1.10 patch for it (if you are playing the Windows version), then it looks way nice.

As for the other games that are not ported for PC, you can easily emulate:
    - Dreamcast
    - PSX
    - PS2

If you really want to get scared and have shivers going throughout you body then get F.E.A.R. I know it was already mentioned but I feel like it isn't getting enough attention. Big F.E.A.R fan here :D

FEAR is a good FPS thriller... it does not compare to the Silent Hill or Resident Evil series though if we are talking about horrors.

So FEAR get's scarier than the free demo? Cuz I played that, and while it looked like it might be a worthwhile purchase, it looked a little bit tame from what I saw...

F.E.A.R. Definitely gets scarier as you progress through the game. Its really great (or scary) if you play at night. I've played it in the dark and alone at the end and I was getting REALLY freaked out (in a cool way). I also played it during the day around other people and it lost some of the scary... probably because its atmospheric, which is a good thing.

Doom 3 never seemed that scary to me, its just a JUMP game where things JUMP at you. That doesn't scare me so much. I like atmosphere.

    My recommendations:

Alone in the Dark (multiple version as well as one coming out)
    System Shock 1 (old game)
    System Shock 2 (newer game)
    Bioshock
    FEAR
I've head Condemned is really creepy.

Yup, I have been using PCSX2 for the last year on my notebook... 30+ FPS.

The emulator is interesting... its more CPU intensive than graphic intensive.
    - its multi-threaded, so the more cores you got the better.
    - and it has high compatibility.

I have been finishing Kingdom Hearts series on it. :)

Huh, I've been shying away from it because everyone keeps saying that you need some quad-core 5000000GHZ desktop to run it. I'll have to give it a try.

The 5.00GHz requirement was meant for the old single-core P4's and AMD's... but in the new era of multi-cores... most mid-range (~2.00GHz and up) dual core CPU's seem to run the emulator fine... even with just a mid-range videocard (Nvidia 7600 and up | ATI X1600 and up)

Most current desktop dual-cores (AMD Athlon X2's or Core 2 Duo's) should be fine. The lucky people with quad-cores will notice the no issues.

Fully back CONDEMNED, CLIVE BARKER'S UNDYING, and I will add the (more than) ten year old REALMS OF THE HAUNTING because it had a great atmosphere.

    PCSX2

You use it like every other emulator.
