I got NZ$100 to spend on games (plus a $30 gift voucher).
I already own the following recent games: Call of Duty 4, Battlefield 2, Half life 2 and World in Conflict.
I am thinking of getting Company of Heroes $20 and Stalker Chernobyl $20.
I can't decide whether or not to get also: Far Cry 2 ($80), Fallout 3 ($110), Orange Box ($65) or COD:WAW ($80).
I am looking for the best singleplayer experience with good multiplayer just being a bonus. I say because I ony have decent internet for a few weeks a year (I stay at University hall where internet is crap). So I need good replay value. I like FPS, but I am not sure if Fallout 3 would be FPS enough for my liking or that matter COD5 being value for money with its short singleplayer and the fact that it gets labelled a 'mod' of COD4.
All opinions appreciated!

Orange Box certainly has replay value and great multiplayer on top of that.

get fallout 3

I think you can put Fallout 3 as sorta FPS. I got it for PS3 and personally it plays a lot like an FPS. You won't just headshot everything to the ground, but combat-wise its similar. I don't know how much you like RPGs, but personally I love em. All that said, I can't stand the setting of Fallout 3.

fallout 3 isn't a fps...but is a very good game.

I'd get the Orange Box. With the additional HL2 episodes for single player fun and TF2 for online play you will have a lot of options to pass the time.
-
I'd get the orange box... FC2 was a huge disappointment. WAW seems to me to be COD4 but WW2... but then again I've never played it. My friend played fallout 3 and he said it was good but personally I don't really like it...

fine ill take some..

One more vote for Orange Box. The price is well worth the fun you'll have playing this game.

The Orange Box. Fallout 3 is a masterpiece of gaming, but the sheer replay value and childish delight to be had with the Orange Box (don't even get me started on Portal), you won't regret the purchase.
Also: It's called Bioshock, it wants your attention. -
Despite the stigma of having EA as a publisher, Dead Space is actually a decent single-player survival action shooter with lots of cheap shocks thrown in.

OK so most people are advising me to go for the Orange Box. How about getting Company of Heroes and Stalker? I just see them as being really good for the price.

Check out Steam store, there's a sale on everything right now and it's really cheap! I didn't like Stalker, but I would recommend Fallout 3 and Orange Box.
-
As others have said, Orange Box is the best bang for your buck. At the very least, get TF2... one of my favorite games of all time.
If you didn't play/get sick of COD:4 and you like the WWII setting, get COD:WAW. -

It sounds like it might have to be the Orange Box then. I'll get that and perhaps Company of Heroes and wait and see what people are playing in my University Hall, if there is a Left 4 Dead crew I'll get that but its say Counter Strike or COD5 I'll get that.
Help me spend my money
