Ok so i would be gatting a new lappy- ASUS G1s
I'm kinda tight on budget right now cauz i am getting my first airsoft rifle.
so i'm down to Cod4 and Tf2. And three more questions. If i want to buy Tf2 on steam would i be able to pay with a english debit card?? And if i buy Tf2 on steam would i be able to play on it offline?? Last question, can i add bots on tf2 like i can do on cs.

if you're tight on budget then get the orange box. it'll give you the most 'bang' for your buck. then you should naturally move on to CoD4 of course
-
Well you see the thing is that i don't especially like the half life series and i've completed portal anyways soooo..... yeah
-
you'll get bored with TF2 a lot quickly than CoD4.
-
TF2 holds much of fun. every update gives you even More fun stuff
-
Not really a big fan of TF2, but Orange Box does hold a bigger value compared to COD4. Since you are on a budget, i would recommend going for Orange Box (its 19.99 at frys). However, the G1s will truly shine when playing COD4.

My vote is for CoD4. It is really fun single player and the multiplayer is great too. I haven't played TF2 though.

Pay it forward....
Buy the OB for TF2. And since you don't like Half-Life 2 (incomprehensibly shocking, I know) and have already played Portal you could pass those along to a friend or someone via Steam for their enjoyment.
That's what I did with HL2 & EP1 from the OB since I already owned them.
Just a thought. -
tf2 is not worth the money. even if you pay more for cod4 its 10x the game that tf2 is
-
I play both heavily, and they are in completely different styles. If you don't like half life because its semi realistic and you die really fast, then you really wouldn't like COD4. But if you're looking for some quick fun with wacky weapons and characters, then TF2
-
Very true, i liked TF2 because it has this funny element (you know what i'm talking about) but COD4 is a realistic FPS , i play em both, but COD4 more, still i voted for TF2 though
-
eh? wouldn't you want to recommend the game with the greatest lasting value?
And one word of advise. don't install the patches in COD4. The original maps are the best, and once you've upgraded, almost no body plays them. I'm thinking about reinstalling just to downgrade. -
-
Well sujinge9 why i said i play COD4 because its on the primary HDD listen in my sig. TF2 is on external, and i'm too lazy ^^
EDIT: Chinatown was great, and Creek is EPIC foilage! -
Call of duty is much better
but orange box always remains a solid and exciting package -
I personally like TF2 more from a multiplayer standpoint.
But you also can't miss CoD4's single-player experience so it offers more value than TF2 unless your buying the Orange Box. -
Yea COD4 offers much more than TF2. It's single player is amazing and online multiplayer is also pretty fun. TF2 is very fun to play, but overall you'd be better getting COD4.
-
TF2 for multiplayer.
Help me to decide which game i should get.
